Pathway to Success Workshop to Celebrate National Apprenticeship Week

A resent Leadership NC session placed attendees in front of speakers such as Governor Roy Cooper, Chief of Staff for Governor Cooper Kristi Jones, Secretary of Commerce Machelle Sanders, and others.
The CAMX was an excellent opportunity to promote Eastern NC’s aerospace and advanced manufacturing strengths. EDR’s Mark Pope, ElectriCities Carl Rees, and North Carolina’s Southeast’s Megan Sellers connected with many composite and advanced materials exhibitors and industry representatives.

RIME is the Regional Industry and Manufacturing Expo, where all high school students within Greene, Jones, Lenoir, and Wayne Counties learn about local industrial and manufacturing careers. This years event will be on April 17, 2024, at the North Carolina Global TransPark.
The construction work is progressing smoothly with the steel framework and roofing panels in place, and the wall panel phase of construction begun. The building has several noteworthy features, including steel construction, 30-foot high ceiling heights, 50 feet by 75 feet column width, and 2 dock high doors. ParkEast access road construction continues with ongoing earthwork and storm drain installation. Located within the park's center, this road will open up greater accessibility for business traffic while providing tenants with a secondary exit route in emergencies. The road will connect Gateway Drive and McLain Street. Ivey Drive will also tie into this road at the center point.
Goldsboro Business Campus - Wayne County
Phase I construction of the project is entering the last stages of completion with the finishing of the weir wall for the stormwater management pond. The pond will serve as the stormwater management for all the lots in Phase I which will reduce the cost and time of construction for end users.
Earthwork and grading has started at the the Highway 70 Industrial Park Pad Ready Site in Lenoir County! The pad site is being leveled and access drives have been installed. This project is supported by a $262,000 grant through North Carolina’s Southeast Region and once completed, the pad will support the construction of a 22,670-square-foot shell building.
